The military has been using nuclear weapons in Iraq! The picture on the left is one type of nuclear weapon. This particular weapon is a 30mm depleted uranium (DU) shell.
A shell coated with depleted uranium pierces a tank like a hot knife through butter, exploding on impact into a charring inferno. It leaves behind a very fine radioactive dust, with a half-life of 4.5 billion years, which would penetrate all protective clothing, any gas mask or filter or the skin. By contaminating the lungs and blood, it could kill or cause illness very quickly. As tank armor, it repels artillery assaults.
Did you understand that? That means the depleted uranium weapons used in the War on Iraq, such as the depleted uranium shell pictured, will contaminate the earth for 4,500,000,000 years!!! Using depleted uranium shells has the same type of after effect as using a nuclear bomb. Depleted uranium IS a nuclear weapon!
There is one thing the War on Iraq seems to produce on a daily basis... Death for our Troops!
Depleted uranium is the garbage left from producing enriched uranium for nuclear weapons and energy plants. It is 60 percent as radioactive as natural uranium. The United States has an estimated 1.5 billion pounds of it, sitting in hazardous waste storage sites across the country. Meaning it is plentiful and cheap as well as highly effective.
What the Government does not tell you is that our troops are unknowingly being exposed to DU dust while being in Iraq! Read the article entitled, "U.S. Soldiers Are Sick of It", to learn about the horible way our government has not been telling our troops the truth about depleted uranium!
